Engineered or solid wood?
Engineered for most modern homes, especially kitchens and anywhere with underfloor heating. Solid wood where the subfloor and conditions suit it and you want the longest possible life.
Does wood flooring need acclimatising?
Yes. The boards should sit in the room, in their packs, for a few days before fitting so they match its humidity. We build that into the schedule.
Can wood go in a kitchen?
Engineered oak can, as long as spills are wiped up. For a busy family kitchen, a wood-effect LVT is often the more relaxed choice.
